day 3

Thank God I’m alone. So much conflict. On the one hand, I want to see all of these people rot in our facility for the rest of their natural born lives.. Bloody traitors... okay, so only one of them is, but which one? I hope not the sweet ass I have my eyes on... Nooooo, it couldn't possibly be. The all think I have no emotion, but I have warm blood like everyone else. And that one... well, let's just say my blood is boiling, and not in a bad way. I am a professional, I take my job very very seriously. But nobody needs to know what I'm thinking as I look. They have been naked since they got here! Unless they open those damn lockers they will continue to be naked... how can I NOT look. well, naked and unashamed... even better. Oh, please, there has to be a line drawn somewhere... And the only place in this god forsaken facility that I can be myself is in my own room. I wonder if the other officers are having this same problem... I am a woman... I have needs...!!!! And as soon as this is all said and done, and that gorgeous specimen has been cleared of all charges..... MINE... I tell you this without a doubt... mine.... –sgmbert (confessional)

they're all fallen asleep. peace and quiet for once...ahh. sucks to be the guard who will be around when they're awake - i've got the easy job today. I can't believe that some of them are so dumb to think that they're all actually in Iceland? I don't think we'd put them in the same country that they've leaked secrets too. But oh, that reminds me of some spy movie I watched the other week. I thought, they're so dumb to bring the spy to San Monaco, which had been the country that the spy had been working for. But the reason they did that was so they could show the stupid spy the new weapon they built to destroy San Monaco - and he was going to blow up too! So then they leave him with the skinny henchboy. I mean, of COURSE they leave the spy hanging in the middle of a room with the skinny boy as his guard. Sheeesh, some villains are just too dumb. So the spy swings and hits the boy and then escapes. All he had to do was jump out of the window and land into the Bay of Viceque and swim to the San Monaco superspy headquarters. And of course, the villains chase him. But of course, being in San Monaco the heroine spots the guy and she calls in armed forces and la-di-da the spy got away and the villains are captured. So the moral of the story: I'm more handsome than the skinny boy. :) -ssghessetter (confessional)

This is totally NOT what I expected. Someone on message board said why not cybermole-Bermuda? I totally agree, I don't know anyone in Iceland and didn't even know they had a military..... so Bermuda sounds really nice right now. Two of the guards are really sweethearts. That would be Grossnickle and Jake. I hope Jake wasn't punished for leaving those blankets out. All of that is history, but I still would prefer a bathing suit in Bermuda to this drab gross olive jumpsuit....and where is my bra? I promise not to hang myself with it. (Though I think that would be an improvement) I notice that Major, Major doesn't wear one either but then she doesnt need one........) ahhhhhh yes, live in prison. –marylee (confessional)

Matt-- I have so much respect for him for callin out Mary Lee in terms of her alliance thing. I wouldve been upset too if i heard "lets get rid of Karen" but i dont think i wouldve had the guts to stick up for myself like he did.
Nurse Karen-- I like her alot. Shes very intellegent and active in the challenges and shes a really sweet woman. She seems to be a mother figure in some ways.
Mike-- Id really like to get to know him better. He names himself as a writer, and thats what i want to do with my life...it also appears we're around the same age, and so it seems like we'd have things in common
Mary Lee--Something about her rubs me wrong. I think shes a really nice person, but shes so hardcore competitive that it scares me really. She also seems bossy
Becki-- Shes so flirty and cute and well liked by the guys that i feel nervous around her. I also get the feeling she doesnt like me much so i kinda view her as competition
Brian--Reminds me of the people im friends with at home. He's probably my favourite player so far...hes funny and odd, and wants to be called Boy Karen...what more could anyone ask? Lol –studentkaren (confessional)

I did'nt know the quiz was going to be posted soo soon!! First I freaked out cause I know I have to be the last one to see the damn quiz then to top it off it won't submit...make it work please!! This challenge is getting on my nerves! now that i got the interegation out of the way i can concentrate on trying to do the challenge, but i'm really getting no where fast, and my head hurts so i'm done now, i'll let them play with it some more. I think we're already hurting some due to rule constrants, all seemed to revolve around michael, too i don't think it matters, but in the in-processing we were told to post our clothing and answer the guard questions, and to make no conversation, but Michael, Becki and eventually Matt all posted conversational items in that forum. And again, in the challenge, Michael has posted what his number was at some point, which i believe to have been against the rules, but i'm no tattle tail, just observations i'm making so you can relay them to the proper authorities -brian (confessional)

I dont think the word "adjacent" includes diagonal as part of the definition. I always thought it meant side by side. From the way things read Matt, Tiffany and Becki are all adjacent to the broken locker. HMM> but this is even more interesting to me, how can Brian be diagonal to Tiffany and adjacent to Tiffany at the same time???? 1)Either Mike or I have to be in the upper left corner.
2)The broken locker can not be in the center.
3)Mary Lee can not be in the same row or column as the broken locker.
4)Mike is in the same row as the broken locker--that does not mean he is necessarily next to it
5) Both Matt, Becki and Tiffany have clues saying they are next to the broken locker--adjacent--so I cant see how the broken locker can be in a corner. Unless adjacent includes the meaning diagonal.

pretty sure of this so adding it in: Either Mike or nurse Karen has to have the center locker. cause my favourite # shares a factor with the favourite # of the center locker, and it looks like only Mike's or NKs would fit that -studentkaren

KS(Karen S.) the center could also be matt(11 is a factor of 33and11) or TIffany(22 has factors of 11 and 2). SO there are actually 4 center possibilities –nursekaren

I am lost here too. I tried several possibilites. None work. But here's a thought--it could be very possible one or more of us could be lying about our clues and that is why we cant work it. Not accusing anyone so dont take offense. –nursekaren

this is seriously making my brain hurt i think we should guess hoping we're close with what we have, and at the most lose $1 for an incorrect guess and have something to go off of as to how close we are. ok ok ok... i'm going against my own plan right now, well it's not much of a plan, but i'm helping more than i want to spilling ideas, but it frustrates me that no one thought of posting what they feel could be a right answer at the risk of a measly $1 to give us some kind of leway, i mean come on! we can't just hope we're right at the deadline, and then lose everything! The challenge is over and we won! At least most of the money. We lost 3 dollars due to "innappropriate player behaviour". I wish they would be a little more specific. i pride myself on my smarts and to go first would be an awful blow...but that is the chance one takes when playing a game like this. matt is on with me right now as we await the exection. Which one of you gave those prisoners alcohol?? I would have removed it from the cell myself, but... um *cough* I was alone, and the way they were enjoying it, they would have mobbed me. Then I wouldn't be in her berrating you. They won a few measley dollars... no reason to party, there is still a traitor in our midst. On the other hand, let's see where this goes... maybe drunk, they dumbass will let it all slip, and we can be done with these people. –sgmbert

Unfortunately, Sergeant Major, I think that you too have been exposed to a little cabin fever, just like them. They are all psychologically impaired and are imagining that they have alcohol. It may be a result of their food deprivation....not sure. We may have to increase their rations. Check with me tomorrow on what I can scrape up from the mess. –ltkodiak

Ya know, I am beginning to think it Could be one of the staff..they all have spaces in their names and there is that none of the above at the end of the quiz....plus all those cities and states More than 9. Now I wish I could do the quiz over. I hope I am still here next round as I will be thinking a bit differently. That would also even out the players....six female , six male and make 12 players instead of 8- which I wondered about from the start. I just didn't think outside the box until now. I have taken the Interrogation Quiz. I have split the answers around, trying to keep myself covered on all bases thus far. I leaned my answers towards Mary Lee, simply because her attitude was either a good strategy to make me suspect she was the Cybermole, or she is indeed stalling for time with her rude comments. I guessed a few for Nurse Karen as well, since I find them rather suspicious. It really could be anyone, and I am expecting to go this quiz if not the next. It's a whole new ballgame if I stay. Ahhhh I'm so anxious...I can't even explain how badly I want to excel at this game, or at least make it past the first round. Only time will tell I guess. –matt (confessional)

The guards are interesting. The first one, Hessetter, seemed a little friendly towards the group. Of course, Bert put an end to any comforts we could get from him. The second guard, grossnickel (where do these names come from?) I haven't gotten much of a lead on. Bert seems to be very strict and by the rules. Could become a pain in the butt during the challenges. -michael

As far as I can tell the guards are just doing their jobs. I am assuming that "solitary" is exactly what it says--a solitary cell for prisons who cause an infraction of the rules. I have no idea what is in there. Most likely just an empty, desolate cell! The other players seem very friendly so far. That makes for a nice game in the sense --its fun to interact with others. Should make for interesting times. I'm not exactly sure. -nursekaren

The guards seem to be very strict. However, we're not here for a summer camp, so I'm not surprised they're hard on us. I think Mary Lee is showing her colors as a pretty blunt bitch at the moment.
