day 29

main cell 7

your final dinner will be served soon. please post your desired menu. you must collectively decide on one appetizer, soup/salad, entree, drink and dessert. if you do not come to a complete consensus, we will not attempt to serve you a final formal dinner. –sgmbert

y'all think we could get lobster and steak out of these guys? which do you prefer, beer, wine, soda, or tea? just making some suggestions to start us off. –brian

im a big fan of mozarella sticks....yum! and beer sounds fantastic to me...as does steak. final dinner, huh? dont they usually give a man whos about to be executed whatever he wants to eat? fitting, huh? i do want to say right now that this has been a great game and its been a privilige playing it with you two...too bad there isnt a woman to liven things up around here, but at least this way, i get to say "let the best man win." –michael

I think the lobster sounds fine. As far as the rest, I have no preference. I'll reflect when I get back, but I'm running out the door. –matt

yumm Mozzarella sticks sound great! salad or soup? that's easy for me, salad! i'll go for any desert that's chocolate or cheesecake... Chocolate Cheesecake! Yum! It's strange getting such an extravigant last meal, but i guess it's only fitting, huh? So close to the end. It's been great guys! Best of luck to the both of you. –brian

well then...we'll start off with a smattering of mozzarella sticks, followed by a light salad. The main course is a sumptious lobster with a good sized pint of beer to wash it down. To top it off, a nice fattening chocolate cheesecake brings the dinner to a wonderful close. aaahh... (too bad we have to eat it on our dirty cell floor! ) –michael

Sounds delicious! –matt

awesome! *drool* -brian

mmm, beer and lobster... sophisticated tastes you boys have there. beer and chocolate cheesecake... hmmmm beer and salad.... hmmmmmmm beer.... hmmmmmm Men! –sgmbert

ahhh, Jealous, i see. –brian

appetizer: mozzarella sticks. and you're all getting the beer you've asked for. it took a HELL of a lot of work for the Sergeant Major to secure an American brand - but she did. So you really ought to thank her. Before we serve more of the meal, I have a question (since you're all here): Which prisoner release was the worst to handle and why? –sgtgrossnickle

yummy! for me personally, it was Becki, because we were always online at the same times, and we just seemed to get along. Her departure was tough. Also, things seemed to get quieter around here after that too. –brian

Personally, for me it was Student Karen. We had very similar interests and I had just gotten to know her when she left... *opens a beer* aahh...would have preferred heinekens, but hey, i cant complain. –michael

i agree, we didnt' need them to 'import' american beer I'm okay with foreign. Heiken would work for me as well! S. K. was another hard hit. Actually all 5 were! hated to see someone go, but glad it wasn't me at the same time. –brian

Hah! In fact, in this part of the world, Heineken is even harder to get than north american brands! –ssghessetter

we must REALLY be in the middle of nowhere for that to be true..and I agree with you Brian...better them than me. –michael

hehe...if you only ya'll were watching the Sergeant Major during each release night. I swear her blood pressure rose as if her chickens were stolen. me - I couldn't've been more happier to see the numbers die down. I enjoy the quiet this abandoned facility gives me. They might send me out to nowhere land thinkin' they can git rid of me - but they sure can't make me suffer! I love it out here! –ssghessetter

I am going to go completely against the grain here, because the hardest release for me to see was Tiffany. I may be a little biased since I know her better than I did some of the others, but it was hard to see the crap she got all the time because I know she was giving it her best. I also really liked Nurse and Student Karen, and I had a hard time seeing them leave, as well. –matt

while ya'll are chompin on your puny salad greens, tell me who you would have rather seen in the final three instead of yourself. now that you know that no one has replaced you in the final three because of the nasty "how much do you value your position" challenge...what would ya'll honestly say? –ssghessetter

well... hmm that's hard, cause i think if we're here we deserve to be here... but i'll say Mary Lee cause she played hard, earned money and fell just short of being right here, so i think Mary Lee could have a spot here. –brian

good question (hey brian..lets hog the food cause matt isnt here...hee hee). I think i would have preferred that mary lee be in the final three also...she did work mighty hard and it really sucks falling just short. pass the ranch...yum! –michael

Although ML and I exchanged words a few times, I also feel that she deserves to be here in the final three. The woman was single-handedly responsible for 90% of the money that we won, and although she got a little obsessive at the end, she was very dedicated. –matt

Cant believe that the game is almost over. I thought that the game would be quick with only 8 people, but this is much quicker than i anticipated. the overall experience has been wonderful, if a little stressful (and the stress isn't over yet!) You dont understand how stunned i am to be in the final three after taking such a chance and changing my suspect so late into the game. and to be with the other two guys..outlasting the ladies...although, i think very highly of all of them (now that they have been cleared..heh heh)
But there is still one more execution to go...and it could be mine. I'm told that i have to look back at the players that have left us...that would mean starting with Nurse Karen. I thought that she was a smart lady and one that i possibly could have started a small alliance with...but i also saw her as competition, which is why i never really approached her. Good person though.
Every game has a sweetheart and i believe that student karen was this games sweetheart, at least to me. great person who shares so many of the same interests as me...i really hope to keep in touch with her after the game is over with and was very sorry to see her leave the game.
Really, I cant think of much to say about Tiffany. Nice person, but wasnt around enough for me to really get a handle on what kind of person she really was. Wasnt too surprised at her exit in the game.
Man, was becki the most outspoken player in the game...i kind of had a love/hate relationship with her...thought she was very funny at times and very annoying at others. one of my top suspects and one of my top competitors...was quite surprised to see her leave, but oh well. im sure that outside of the game that she is a great person.
Of all the people i expected at the beginning to do good at this game was the shrink, mary lee. of course, i thought she was the cybermole for the longest time! her execution would have been a much bigger surprise to me if i had not paid attention that episode...of course, if i hadnt paid attention, i would have been the one gone!
Everything in this game has been top notch. The challenges were fun and creative and...well...challenging. I consider it a privilige to have been a part of it all and hope that it all ends with me walking away as the winner of it all! –michael (confessional)

wow, i made it past 5 fine competators and great women and now i'm in the final 3. I don't know what to say really that i haven't before. I'm shocked that I made it this far, but I guess i deserve to be here as much as anyone else. The challenges have been fun, challenging, interesting, etc. It's been a great game, and now it's coming to an end. I've got a tough quiz ahead of me, and it's the last one I'll take whether i see a green thumb or a red one... there are no more. It's do or die time. About my competitors: Nurse Karen- what a great woman to have met. She did her best with everything and earning money for the pot. She was very friendly and helpful. It's sad that her time here was so short. She may have been the first gone, but she still is not forgotten here.
Student Karen- ah! if only we had more time to get to know one another. We never really chatted to each other until the end of her stay, but i always thought highly of her. She was so fun and funny, but she fell victim. To what, i don't know, but she fell. It's a shame, we seemed to have a lot in common, and she was always so fun to have around in the conversations. I hope we can get in touch after the game, either way, i wish her the best at school and with her housing situation.
Tiffany- Well, i never really got to know Tiffany, she seemed pretty busy, but i know she was a great competator, and she put her all into the game. She had me swaying for a bit on her cybermole status, so i was releaved to see her go, but not happy. I only wish i could have gotten to know her a bit better...maybe after the game we can get in touch! I'm always a fan of actors :)
Becki- :( well her loss was probably the hardest for me to take for two reasons. First she was my favorite player in the game for... well the whole damn game! She was soo much fun and we just got along great. I'm glad we got to share that time alone in the private cell, just chatting, and not really concerned about the game too much. I think she may have suspected me some, and i suspected her some at the time so that was a fun situation for me. But i'm sure she was being honest, and i know i was. It was a sad thing to see her go, since i thought for sure it'd be me that week.
Mary Lee- Mary Lee was a great woman. She tried really hard in this game, and i was shocked to see her departure. I really thought she was going to win. I think her downfall was that she tried to hard to win the money all the time and not focus too much on the game itself, of catching the cybermole. I figured pretty early on that she wasn't the cybermole, so i could trust her, and i tried to draw some suspicion to myself. Not that i wanted her out in the f4, but to cast some doubt if it was me versus her in the finals. Guess that didn't turn out.
Win or lose, i've had a blast just being a part of this game (Finally!) I hope i win, but i really do not expect to (still) but 2nd place is way better than i ever thought i'd do when i entered oh so many weeks ago! –brian (confessional)

Today it dawned on me that I am not leaving this game with any real lasting friendships. I don't know if it was the way the game was run, with minimal personal contact and such, but I really never got close enough to anyone in this game to develop a strong bond. Some of the players were rude, some cliquish, and some were just downright snobby. I enjoyed a few, but there was no real emotional attachment made between me and the other contestants. Only Tiffany's execution upset me, and that was because I valued her friendship from before the game. We hardly talked at all during this adventure, but she was also someone who was isolated from the online 24/7 people and we had that in common. I really have given up on trying to forge friendships here. Although that is my primary goal when I play, the situation was just not right, and I couldn't forsee anything working out. But I do want to wish my other fellow players, present and past, luck in their lives and future endeavors. I had a fun time while I was here, and I am thankful of that opportunity. –matt (confessional)

Michael could be the cybermole for quite a few reasons. He's lost us money indirectly by posting out of turn or in the wrong boards early on. He hasn't totally sabatoged or anything that would directly make him look like the cybermole, which is something a cybermole would try to avoid. He's gotten crucial victories, such as the private cell challenge, in effect taking that away from us... but also he seemed to stear us wrong on the next challenge with the links. Those are the highlights off the top of my head. Matt could be the cybermole, because he seemed always show up late, and never really contributed to any earnings, that much. He's caused a little tension it seems, and passed up easy opportunities to earn money, such as the truth or dare challenge, his was not that hard, just didn't do it. And the big reason that either of them could be the cybermole is because they're in the final 3! –brian (confessional)

There are many reasons why I believe Brian could be the cybermole. His haphazard attendance and lack of participation at times has caused challenges to fail. He is very smart, though...this comes across in his posts. If something seems too tough, he seems to be one of the first to give up...PLUS, there is the thing about the telephone challenge...if he had gone through EVERY combo of telephone numbers, like he claimed, he HAD to have stumbled upon the right one...and yet, nothing. VERY suspicious. The fact that Becki and Mary Lee seemed to be close to him is another suspicious thing...I'm thinking that he led both of them down the wrong path to their execution, never suspecting him. If he is the cybermole, he has been an OK one...not too subtle, yet not too obvious. But lack of participation is never really a good thing. Matt is a suspicious guy...he seemingly does NOTHING in this game yet makes it to the final three. He wasn't around for a WHOLE ROUND, yet made it past the execution....over Mary Lee! The only suspicious movements I have made him see, that i remember, is his lack of participation and presence in the time of need....all a little too convenient. If he is the cybermole, I am going to be greatly dissapointed cause the cybermole should be more participatory than what Matt has done in this game. I guess I'll see in the end... –michael (confessional)

I am preparing to take the final quiz for the Cybermole Project. Right now, I plan to focus my questions on Michael, with a few thrown towards Brian. I have felt a strong suspicion of Michael from the very beginning, and he has always ridden up high on my Cybermole list. I feel occasionally, his sabotage has been blatant, such as not helping at all in a few challenges when he had the opportunity to do so. If he is the Cybermole, I feel he could have hid it a little better, and if he is a regular player, I applaud him for deceiving me. Brian has been, in contrast, rather low on my suspicion chart. I believe there was a quiz or two that I did not answer a single question towards him and survived, which makes me less suspicious of him than Michael. I think he could be the Cybermole because of Mary Lee's comment on the boards about Michael sabotaging the game intentionally. If she believed Michael to be the Cybermole, and was executed, it could very easily be Brian. I know Brian did not contribute to the challenges the part of the episode I was away, so I threw a few quiz questions his way because I did not know how to answer them for Michael. If those kept me in over ML, I guess it could be Brian, though in my gut, I feel it is Michael. At this point, I don't know, but soon we'll all know for sure...-matt (confessional)

I tried my hardest to keep her drool off of the plate...it was hard, but I succeeded. So here's your plate of steamed lobster...mmm... And of course we have the melted butter! But the shells were precut. Ya'll will never get knives. Hehe...we even got you parsley on the side! So...of your opponents in the final three - which one of them would like to never hear from again - and why? no food unless you answer the questions... –ssghessetter

wow..pretty nasty...but im pretty hungry...no real reason for anything, but i will say matt. i havent talked to him too much in the game and if i happen to not talk to him after the game, my life wouldnt be hurting....of course, i am only giving an answer and reason cause i love lobster (and paisley!)!!! no hard feelings around i hope. –michael

I happen to like both of you guys, but I don't really feel like the opportunity to bond with anyone was really here for me in this game. I really do think you're nice people, but if I didn't talk to anyone from this game again, I could survive. Sometimes you click and sometimes you just don't, and I didn't really feel a lot of clicking going on due to time scheduling and such. I would like to pursue a friendship with both these guys afterwards, but...if you're not up for it, that's cool too. –matt

well for my (probably cold by now) lobster... I'll say Matt because we never really got to talk much in the game do to our schedule differences, so that may make it harder for us to communicate after the game anyway. But i think i'd be great for all of us to keep in touch. –brian

well we've got the chocolate cheesecake in back...but one last request. Before you fill your fattened bodies with more food after that huge feast - compliment your opponents (the other two around)...and make it count. Don't just make it a generic compliment, try to make it unique and well attributed. –sgtgrossnickle

yummy...desert! Brian = you have a unique sense of humor that i appreciate and a keen intelligence that i liked working with. Matt = You have a sincerity that i admire...you tell it like it is and i appreciate that. i also like your sense of professionalism when dealing with the game...you didnt take anything personally and realized that it was all part of the game. Time for food!! –michael

Michael: You were very welcoming in the earlier stages of the game when others felt the need to isolate the newcomers...your kindness and respect was much appreciated. You're a strong player and I had fun getting to know you. Brian: You have a great sense of humor, and you handle the stresses of the game well. You're a very bright guy with a nice personality, and I think that suits you very well. –matt

Matt- you have been a great competitor (cybermole?) and have been able to play the game, and take everything in stride. You are intellegent and sincere, you never let the game get the better of you. Michael- you have been a fun guy to have around, and a good competitor (cybermole?). It's just been fun to have you around macking with the ladies and keeping this game fun as well as competative. In a side note: Both of you have been great to get to know(as well as this structure allows) and may the best MAN win –brian
